Artist that I LOVE

One of the artists I have been continually draw to and fascinated by is Ines Longevial. She works primarily in oil paints with subjects that include portraits, the body and figure, flowers, and pattern designs. She works in very flat images and often uses line when shaping her subjects. She describes her work as romantic through her use of subject matter as well as a lot of pinks/reds in her color palettes. Some artist that have inspired Ines include Picasso, Rodin, and Camille Claudel. She also turns to film to find inspiration and enjoys the colors used in works by Almodovar. Beyond simply other artists Ines continues to be inspired by her own life, experiences, and her childhood in the countryside.
