Project 2 - Pre-work

   The warm colors in this photo in contrast to the monochrome colors of the sky create a very ominous and foreboding mood. With the bright red in the cigarettes of the soldiers they draw the eyes, almost appearing to be similar to sparklers, a quite light and cheerful object. However the story behind the photo of these soldiers taking a break off duty and smoking cigarettes is a big contrast to the illusions of the cigarette. The reds surrounding building, in the foreground of the photo, and composed within the subject really synthesized within the photo to create this warmth that opposes the dark and hard clouds. For me the colors in this photo help to really tell the story.
